To work with animals successfully, people must, above all, love the company of animals unreservedly. There are many times, however, when we cannot spend the time we want to with animals. Human family obligations, career, weather, illness, mechanical failures and household emergencies all keep us away from the outdoors on occasion.

         The most successful horsepeople (success being measured by strong and compassionate human-animal communication skills and a high level of commitment to animal advocacy) are able to use creativity to manage their down time. Art, writing, creative use of the internet, music and networking all contribute to the stregth of the student's understanding of how animals fit into human society.

This page is devoted to my paintings:

     Sarah Rabinowitz Mognoni graduated from Connecticut College in 1978 with a BA in Studio Art. She worked in the retail and chemical industries until the mid-1980's and began pursuing a career in painting and design full time in 1987. Since then she has taught extensively, both privately and in public and private schools and has exhibited and sold her work both in New Jersey and in other places in the U.S.

     Primarily motivated by a love of high color, the textures of impasto painting and the beauty of textiles, her painting has, over the years, drawn inspiration from Van Gogh, Kandinsky, Matisse, Albers, Chagall, and the Abstract Expressionists.
